History and Background

• The Company was established in 1991 as a globally-focused boutique Investment Management Company, primarily to manage capital for High Net-worth Individuals (HNWIs), Family Offices, Charitable Trusts, Superannuation Schemes, Foundations, and Institutions in New Zealand and more recently parties offshore.
• NZAM specialises in an “absolute return” style of investment management, investing in global markets. The company’s headquarters are in Auckland with an office in Wellington and a total team of 20.
• NZAM is a privately owned and independent company with the principals actively and heavily involved in the business on a day-to-day basis.
• The four principals, Greg Jones, Alan McChesney, Simon Tompkins and Richard Riddell, each have on average 23 years investment management and markets experience.
• The principals have substantial amounts of their own capital invested in an NZAM portfolio alongside their clients.
• In 2005 NZAM entered into a joint venture with London based Investment Manager, Perinvest, to establish and co-manage the Perinvest Asia and Perinvest China funds.
• In 2008 the company established an office in Hong Kong under the name NZAM Asia. This office services the growing Asian and Global institutional and high net worth market.
